Founded in 2023, The Good Grain specializes in innovative viennoiseries using a harmonious match of traditional techniques and seasonal ingredients. From delicate croissants and cardamom buns, to nostalgic yet finessed Kenyan bakery classics such as custard slice, iced buns, and pineapple tarts.

Our small, skilled, and passionate team hand-makes every element from scratch in our kitchen in Nairobi—each component of our menu is thoughtfully considered and sympathetically executed.

In 2025, we opened The Good Grain Pantry next to the bakery in Nairobi. Our Pantry is a one-stop shop for everything from our own range of fresh pasta, sauces, pâté en croûte, cut & bake cookies, desserts, and dips, to locally made baskets, textiles, leatherwork, ceramics, and chopping boards. With a strong focus on French produce, we have an incredible range of wines, cheese, saucisson, and Savoyard pottery. The Good Grain Pantry is also the collection point for our Bakery pre-orders, making our pastries and breads more accessible to all.
